1 egg is equivalent to ¼ cup of fat free liquid egg
To substitute applesauce for oil in a recipe use the following:

Apple sauce 32g unsweetened apple sauce = 1 egg
Notes For savoury batters, try using aquafaba (the liquid found in tinned chickpeas).
